The Studio 18 team is 8+ stylists with a combined 80+ years of professional experience. Co-owner Jordan Lilly is behind the chair Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other stylists specialize in color correction, hand-tied extensions, bridal hair, and precision cuts. Full team bios and photos are being added — meet us at /pages/team.
Why we keep talking about the team
The single most underrated thing about picking a salon: the stylist you sit with matters more than the salon's brand. Salons are useful — they bring consistency, infrastructure, and a shared standard — but at the end of the day, the person holding the scissors or the brush is who determines whether you love your hair.
Studio 18 is built around stylist tenure. Multiple stylists have been doing this for 10, 14, or 23+ years. They've worked through every color trend, every cut shape, and every extension method that's come and gone in the industry. They know what holds up over time and what doesn't.
Jordan Lilly — Co-Owner and Stylist
Jordan acquired Zynergy Salon in May 2026 with her dad Kenny Wentworth, and is leading the rebrand into Studio 18 Salon. She works behind the chair Tuesdays and Thursdays — meaning if you book on one of those days, you might end up with the owner. Jordan's day-of-the-week schedule is unusual for an owner-stylist; most salon owners step away from the chair entirely when they buy in. Jordan kept her schedule because she likes it.

Veteran stylists with 10+ years experience
Studio 18 retains the working stylists who built Zynergy's reputation over the years. Our team includes:
- A 10+ year veteran specializing in quality color and cuts. Continues to invest in product education and shares hair care knowledge with every client.
- A 23-year master hairstylist with decades of experience across cuts, color, and styling. Their dedication to craft is evident in every appointment.
- A 14-year precision specialist focused on detailed haircuts, bridal hair, and long-hair coloring. Particularly known for intricate updos and seamless long-hair color transitions.
Specialty stylists
Color correction and complex color
Multiple Studio 18 stylists handle color correction — fixing box dye damage, evening out uneven results from other salons, and managing complex multi-session transitions (dark to light, removing brassiness, restoring damaged blondes). One reviewer recently said: "Liv did such a phenomenal job at fixing my hair that was not done correctly for my hair type at another salon."
Extensions specialists
Several stylists are certified for hand-tied, K-Tip, and tape-in extensions. Each method requires its own training and ongoing education. Our extension specialists invest in continuing education to keep their technique current.
Blondes, brunettes, and dimension specialists
One of our stylists specializes in blondes and brunettes — meaning when you want a specific tone or a precise dimension that requires layering multiple colors, this is the stylist to ask for. Her clients describe her as "amazing... so friendly and happy and does a perfect job on my hair every single time."
Bridal and event styling
Our 14-year veteran specializes in bridal hair and event styling. If you're planning a wedding, ask for a bridal trial 1-3 months out. She'll walk you through structure, accessories, timing, and what'll photograph well.
How to pick the right Studio 18 stylist for you
Here's the honest framework:
- What kind of work do you need? Color, cut, extensions, or styling each have different specialists.
- How experienced does your situation require? A bang trim is fine with any stylist. A color correction needs someone with at least 5-10 years.
- What's your hair type? Different stylists work different textures better. Mention curl pattern, density, and porosity when booking.
- Read each stylist's reviews on Vagaro. Real review data from real clients is the most reliable signal.
- If unsure, book a consultation. Free, 15-30 minutes, and a great way to match yourself with the right stylist.
Why our stylists stay
Salon stylist turnover is high industry-wide — many stylists move salons every 1-3 years. At Studio 18 (and at Zynergy before us), several stylists have been with the salon for 5, 10, or more years. That's deliberate. Stylist loyalty translates to client loyalty. Your stylist remembers what you booked last time, what worked, what didn't, and what to suggest next.
If you've been with one of our stylists at Zynergy and are wondering if they're still here under the new brand — they are. Same chair, same person, same hair appointment. Just a new name on the door.
Behind the chair: what we're investing in
Studio 18 is committed to ongoing stylist education. That includes:
- Brand-specific certifications (Brazilian Blowout protocols, extension method certifications)
- Continuing education in color theory and corrective color
- New stylist hires who match the team's commitment to quality
- Investment in salon equipment — including the new center color-processing table we're adding as part of the buildout
